An early Gardzienice work
Gardzienice is as strikingly physical, vocal, transcendant, groundbreaking, and historically significant as the Odin. They, too, are not just a theatre -- they are an entire philosophy, ethics, and way of being in the world. I don't know their company well, unfortunately -- but believe me -- RESPECT IS DUE. One of their trainings, for example, is night running. The actors go out at night, and run for miles on paths through the hills.
For a long time, Gardzienice began their exploration of each new piece with the question, "How do we sing this?"

Thanks for the word of mouth on Oedipus, we're having some censorship issues which are presenting some difficulty getting the posters posted.
I thought I recognized Anna, but I did not recognize Grzegorz. How cool, to have a picture of the two Piesn Kozla founders in an Avakkum photo.
I'll keep the word up on Oedipus as it grows closer. Send me any production photos I can post. Feel free to give out links to my blog, too. I think actually seeing pictures of the house makes the performance more enticing.
